There's just never enough hours in the day....
Seriously, for all of its supposed progressivity, the State of California is hardly progressive on many criminal justice matters. From racist cops and brutal prison guards, to Three Strikes, to the death penalty, to Gray Davis's parole vetoes, California doesn't seem any better, or any different, than the rest of the country on such matters.
