The Moon Isn't Shining For Dick

Looks like the Moonies want Dicky Ticker off the ticket. He's soft on homos, ya know. Here's the latest (February 24) entry from the Moonie Times "Insider" blog:

President Bush insists that Dick Cheney will be his running mate this fall, and there's no reason to doubt his word at this point. But some in the party worry that Mr. Cheney is an unneeded target on the ticket for Democrats and critics of the war in Iraq. A second Cheney vice presidential term also leaves the GOP with no heir apparent in 2008.

Why not then, they reason, put a fresh face on the ticket with Mr. Bush, someone who can inherit the White House four years from now? Under this scenario, Mr. Cheney, for health reasons, asks the president to pick another ticket-mate, and Mr. Bush reluctantly accepts. And Mr. Cheney continues as some kind of senior-level consultant to the president on anti-terrorism matters. Far-fetched? Only the summer will tell.

Ah, yes, lying about Cheney's health to get some Moon-approved wingnut on the ticket. Very Republican.
