It's Me, It's Me ... President Ernest T.

"There is no precedent in any modern White House for what is going on in this one: a complete lack of a policy apparatus. What you've got is everything, and I mean everything, being run by the political arm. It's the reign of the Mayberry Machiavellis." -- John DiIulio, slandering the residents of a fictional North Carolina town.

Unfortunately, what will be lost in the rush to compare Bush to Goober and Gomer are the important points that every single action of the Bush administration is driven by partisan politics, and that Bush is the tool of Rove.

That is not news to anyone outside the toady press corps; the news is that a conservative, former Bush ally is willing to tell the truth.
