Isn't It Odd That John McCormack, A Putative Journalist, Makes Shit Up Without Consequences?
In regard to Congressman Bart Stupak, Weakly Standard punching bag John McCormack simpers:
Yes, threats are despicable and should be denounced by all. But wouldn't it have been nice if CBS had informed readers that the "onslaught of threatening messages" he received last week were from those who supported the health care bill? Isn't it odd that CBS didn't cover this story last week?
Odd? Not as odd as the fact that the McCormack Weaper's post contains a link to a story by CBS News dated March 18, 2010 -- that would be last week -- which details Stupak's claim that he got obscene and threatening calls for opposing health care reform.
McCormack's such a fucking infant that he can't be bothered to verify his own bullshit claim. Like many a wingnut, he asserts things because he believes they should be true -- things that he desparately wants to be true -- without making any effort to ascertain the truth. McComack accuses CBS of bias and, in so doing, demonstrates that he's so biased against CBS that he will smear the network with actual malice, that is, reckless disregard for the truth.
Any assertion of fact McCormick makes in the future is guaranteed bullshit. The only question now is whether McCormack will double down on his dishonesty and make his post disappear, now that he's been caught in a lie.
