The wingnuts who tried to make hay of Senator Robert Byrd's cameo as a Confederate general in the forthcoming film adaptation of Gods and Generals forgot to mention ... the rest of the story:

Two U.S. senators and one who recently retired have a few seconds of face time as Confederate officers in a Civil War movie that opens next month. [Para.] Sen. George Allen, R-Va.; Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va.; and former Sen. Phil Gramm, R-Texas, are cast in "Gods and Generals." (Emphasis added.)

Guess that's the last we'll hear of that.
